Heartfelt thanks go out to Joe Golden and the Golden Boys, a tireless group of amazing volunteers. The office building at SOAR suffered water damage from Hurricane Florence. This was on top of some pre-existing issues and that meant the floor needed to be replaced. As with many construction projects, once things get opened up, the true amount of work to be done is revealed. The Golden Boys did a wonderful job with repairs.

The team showed dedicated workmanship to get the job done, donating every minute of their labor with materials purchased by SOAR. Over the course of a few weeks the project was completed on time with kindness and great quality.

Cabinets, appliances and furniture have been moved back in, computers and phone have been reconnected. It’s still a bit of a work in progress but things are moving along nicely.

Work has also been done on the building housing the FIV+ cats and construction continues on the dog kennels. More info to follow on those projects.

SOAR is always grateful for your donations that help us with expenses not covered by insurance and for our day to day needs.
