Two of Blairs kittens found their forever homes over the weekend. The one on the left should be named Captain Blacky, new dad owns Blackberry Marina. I will admit I was a little nervous with the one on the right at first, they are still small babies and new mom said she has a small dog. I personally have 3 dogs and I consider them small, med and large, the small one is 45 lbs. We had a good laugh when she told me her Chihauhau is only 3 lbs and the two meet and became good friends from the very start!!!
Oliver and Olivia were adopted together to a wonderful family!! Dad called and said they have 2 kids so they need 2 kittens. We were so happy to see them go to their new home together, they love each other so much. The “Olies” found a forever home and SOAR gained forever friends.
Leah and her new mom. Leah is such a sweetie, we will miss her!!
We got a call about a month and a half ago from a man asking if we could help in finding homes for 7 pups. Brad and Kristi had taken in a litter from someone who had no where to keep them except outside with out shelter. They took them into their home, gave them shelter, good food and most important, LOVE. One by one they found loving homes and this morning we got the news that the last little girl found her forever home. GREAT JOB Brad and Kristi!!!!!
HAPPY NEW YEAR!!!!
This little guy needs a good home. Check our Courtesy Listing page for more info.
UPDATE: Mickey has found a wonderful home!!!!
All the animals of SOAR would like to wish everyone a Very Merry Christmas and Happy New Year!! Thank you for all your support!
Meet Blair and her babies. Blair isnt much more of a kitten herself, 1 to 1 1/2 years old but she is a great mommy!!! She was found wondering alone with her kittens and they were all very healthy but all a little under weight. Thanks to a wonderful young woman, who Blair is named after, they are safe, warm and have plenty of food.
This is Loki, now named Rocky, with mom Mary Lee. Rocky was not with us long. Mary Lee, one of our volunteers said she would foster him for us and a couple hours later she called and said “You are not getting him back, he is staying with me”. Her other dog, Bentley, a Golden Retriever and Rocky hit it off from the minute they met. Mary Lee is what we called a foster failure, she fostered 4 kittens about a year ago, 2 got adopted and the other 2…. yep, they stayed and became part of the family.
Who are you going to foster next, Mary Lee?????
