I have for years wanted and felt we needed an electric gate for our volunteers to pass through without having to stop, get out to unlock the gate in the rain, in freezing weather and sometimes snow. Our loyal volunteers (many in their 70′s and 80′s) have put many hours and years at SOAR through all kinds of weather including hurricanes.

No golf or kennel money was used for this gate.

The indoor/outdoor kennels will cost $100,000 or more  and will have a separate account just specifically for the kennels.

As I wrote in the Christmas letter we did not come close to the needed amount and I never expected to get to that amount so soon. I did use monies to improve the cattery at a cost of approx. $11,000-$12,000.

We have a new Manager/Director, new officers and new Board of Directors.

Patches(R) and Panzur(L) were adopted together last weekend.  They are not sisters but have been together for awhile.  One of our volunteers seen new mom the other day and got a wonderful update.

Tilly was also adopted but we did not get a picture of her with her new family.  She is such a sweetheart, her family is lucky.

Lucy and new mom, she stool mom and dads hearts while putting on a show when they came to see the cats.  Lucy will have a couple kitty siblings, good luck in your new home pretty girl!

Autumn with her new human sister and dad.  Loki, her new feline brother is still getting used to the idea of sharing the humans attention but that will come in time.  They adopted a dog from SOAR many years ago, who actually picked by jumping in their car.

Apache, with his new mom and dad.  Just got an update on him, he settled in to his new home right from the start and enjoys sleeping in the bed and going on car rides.  His new name is Buddy because he wants to be everyones buddy!!
